Movie: Free Solo
The Oscar-winning 2018 documentary Free Solo has been praised for its captivating illustration of a rare athletic feat. Directed with awe by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, it follows the quest of rock climber Alex Honnold to free solo (a climb without any protection) the 3000 foot El Capitan monolith in Yosemite National Park. Exploring also Honnold’s own life and pursuits, it is a gripping film of human endurance.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm.
