TEEN VOLUNTEERS AT THE LIBRARY

The library wants to harness the creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm of Moose Jaw’s teens to make the library and the community a great place. By volunteering, teens will help the library engage with other youth in Moose Jaw, make a significant difference in our community, and develop new skills to help them in their future!

Why volunteer? 

When you volunteer at the library you will:

  • Meet new friends and build connections within your community
  • Develop new skills and abilities
  • Gain experience that you can put on your resume or university/college applications
  • Help direct the future of teen programs and services at the library
  • Make the library a better place for youth like you!

AND...

Volunteer hours at the library count as volunteerism credits! Check with your school principal on how to report these hours for credit. Volunteer hours with the Moose Jaw Public Library can be used on your resume or college applications; if you complete more than 30 volunteer hours at the library in a year, a librarian will write you a letter of reference for future educational or employment opportunities.
