Join us for a special Culture Days event and learn about Métis culture & traditions!
Join the Moose Jaw Public Library and the Moose Jaw Literacy Network for a Culture Days program celebrating Métis traditions and culture!
Children ages 4 to 6 and their caregivers are invited to attend a free program at the Library with special guests Kohkom Marquita Neufeld and Kohkom Val Trudel. This fun & engaging event will include a story, craft & talking circle. Attendees will also receive an Indigenous picture book to take home.
This is a drop-in program, no registration is required.
This program will take place in Crescent Park in front of the Library. In the event of inclement weather, we will move indoors into the Library. Caregivers should ensure children are dressed appropriately.
About Culture Days
Culture Days raises the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. With the support of volunteer groups at the national, provincial and local levels, hundreds of thousands of artists, cultural workers, organizations and groups, volunteers and supporters self-mobilize to host free participatory public activities that take place in hundreds of cities and towns throughout the country over a month each year.
Culture Days runs from September 19 to October 12, 2025.
This event is offered in partnership with the Moose Jaw Literacy Network. The Moose Jaw Public Library and the Moose Jaw Literacy Network gratefully acknowledges the support of the Saskatchewan Library Association and their funding partners, Sask Lotteries and SaskCulture.
