Movie: A Different Man
A film both tragic and gleeful in its scathing absurdity, Aaron Schimberg’s dark satire A Different Man is an original and wicked study of identity, entitlement, and the boxes we place around ourselves. It is the story of Edward, an actor absorbed in self-pity owing to his severe facial deformity until he undergoes a procedure to cure him of it, only to find his idealized life and image dramatically subverted, especially when he meets a confident, charismatic man with the same ailment. Starring Sebastian Stan, Renate Reinsve, and Adam Pearson.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 7:55.
