Movie: The Seventh Seal
Among the most iconic and influential films of all time, The Seventh Seal by Ingmar Bergman is a classic of singular standing. It is the story of a medieval knight returned from the Crusades to a home ravaged by the Black Plague, and his pervasive game of chess with the embodiment of Death as he and his squire traverse the land. Captivating from both a technical and analytical standpoint, it has long been one of the great gateways to world cinema. Starring Max von Sydow, Gunnar Björnstrand, Bengt Ekerot, Nils Poppe, and Bibi Andersson.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 7:40.
