Movie: Love Lies Bleeding
Intense and stylishly unexpected, Rose Glass’s romantic neo-noir Love Lies Bleeding is one of the most vivid and interesting movies of the year. Set in rural Oklahoma in the late 1980s, it is the story of a gym manager Lou and her relationship with Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder passing through town; and what happens when the two get caught up in a series of crimes. Visceral and thrilling, and with highly provocative illustrations of body image psychology, it stars Kristen Stewart, Katy O’Brian, and Ed Harris.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 7:45.
