Movie: Pan's Labyrinth
A gripping parable of lost innocence, Guillermo del Toro’s dark fairy tale Pan’s Labyrinth is one of the most singular and unforgettable modern fantasy movies. Set during the Francoist dictatorship in Spain, it is the story of a young girl in the home of a fascist enforcer and her journeys through a mysterious stone labyrinth completing magical tasks. The film stars Ivana Baquero, Sergi López, Maribel Verdú, and Doug Jones. Captivating in its imagination yet unsettling in the brutal context it is set against, it is a film of thrilling vision and bitter reckoning alike.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 8:00.
