Movie: Little Miss Sunshine
Arguably the signature indie hit of the 2000s, Little Miss Sunshine is an earnestly sweet, unassuming comedy-drama of potent and nuanced themes. Its story follows a dysfunctional family travelling from Albuquerque to Los Angeles in support of their youngest daughter’s entry in a child beauty pageant, each member confronting their own personal troubles along the way. Starring Abigail Breslin, Toni Collette, Greg Kinnear, Steve Carrell, Paul Dano, and Alan Arkin, it is a charming and bittersweet road movie that is emphatically tangible and endearing.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 7:45.
