Movie: One Battle After Another
Racking up awards left and right, Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another may be the most sterling and significant movie for the current zeitgeist of the moment. Loosely based on a Thomas Pynchon novel, it is a story of the conflicts between revolutionaries and government military agents, and what happens when a teenage girl becomes the target of a crackdown. Potent and politically charged, technically riveting, and thrillingly directed, it features astounding performances from Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Chase Infiniti, Teyana Taylor, and Benicio del Toro.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 8:40.
