Movie: Hundreds of Beavers
Filmed on a shoestring budget in the middle of winter by non-professionals with little more than their own creativity, Hundreds of Beavers may be the most inventive, outrageous comedy in recent years. Directed by Mike Cheslik, the silent black-and-white film is about a struggling 19th century applejack merchant and his feud with a habitat of beavers. An homage to classic slapstick comedies, Charlie Chaplin films, and Looney Tunes, in conjunction with its own bizarre edge, it is a wildly original and entertaining indie gem. Starring Ryland Tews, Olivia Graves, and Doug Mancheski.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 7:50.
