Movie: The Adventures of Robin Hood
Kicking off the New Year with perhaps the earliest technicolour marvel, The Adventures of Robin Hood, directed by Michael Curtiz in 1938, is the definitive film of the Golden Age of the swashbuckler movie. Adapting the classic folk hero and all his ephemera into a compelling, ubiquitous narrative that hits all its most thrilling and romantic notes, it is one of the most fun and charming movies of its era. Starring Errol Flynn as the titular hero, alongside Olivia de Havilland, Basil Rathbone, and Claude Rains.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 7:45.
