Movie: Patton
A profile of one of the most controversial figures in military history, Patton does considerable justice by the strategical panache, crass, combative attitude, toxic leadership, and spiritual eccentricities of the infamous general. Focused squarely on his Second World War career, the film follows him and his cult of personality from his engagements with Rommel in Africa to the Battle of the Bulge. Directed by Franklin J. Schaffner from a screenplay by Francis Ford Coppola, the film stars George C. Scott in his most iconic role.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 8:45.
