The Peanuts Movie, in honour of the 50th anniversary of the Peanuts comic strip.
Movie: The Peanuts Movie
On October 2nd, 1950, the very first Peanuts cartoon was published by Charles M. Schulz, appearing in just seven American newspapers. Seventy-five years later it is an institution, one of the most beloved and influential comic strips of all time. In recognition of its legacy, join us Thursday October 2nd for a screening of The Peanuts Movie, the 2015 animated movie adaptation about a year in the life of Charlie Brown, trying to get noticed by his crush while his dog Snoopy engages his fantasy of fighting the Red Baron. A charming movie that captures the same unique spirit that has sustained the Peanuts comic for decades, from its fifty-year run in print to its continued endurance today.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm.
