Movie: The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
A classic western noir from director John Huston, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre remains one of the great films about greed and the madness it generates. With an ambiguous grittiness uncommon of Hayes Code-era Hollywood, it tells the story of a pair of American drifters in Mexico who join a prospector on an expedition for gold, and what happens between them once it is found. Starring Humphrey Bogart in one of his greatest anti-hero performances, alongside Tim Holt and Walter Huston.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 8:05.
