Movie: Sisters in Law
Exploring the legal system of Cameroon circa 2005 through a feminist lens, Sisters in Law from directors Florence Ayisi and Kim Longinotto follows the efforts of both a judge and prosecutor within the patriarchal system fighting to bring justice to victims of gender violence. Juxtaposing four separate cases, it is both a sobering and inspiring movie about the fight against outdated and corrupt institutions.
