Join us for crafts, prize draws and book giveaways to celebrate Family Literacy Day!
January 27 is Family Literacy Day and this year's theme is Learn to be Green, Together. We celebrate Family Literacy Day to raise awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family. Taking time every day to read or do a learning activity with children is crucial to a child’s development, improving a child’s literacy skills dramatically, and can help a parent improve their skills as well. Make a pledge as a family to learn ways to be more green. Use less electricity, commute together, and reuse items. Being green together is a fun way to learn as a family while being kind to the environment.
We invite you to join us in the Reading Room on January 25 at the Library for crafts, prize draws, book giveaways & more to celebrate.
This is a drop-in program and all are welcome.
Book giveaways are sponsored by the Moose Jaw Literacy Network.
