Movie: Love & Basketball
An indie cult classic from director Gina Prince-Blythewood, Love & Basketball is a sweet and earnest romantic sports drama that has only grown in adoration over time. It is the story of two kids who grew up together as neighbours in L.A., bonded through their love of basketball, and the romance that develops between them as they embark on their respective athletic careers. A tender love story with strong moments of character-driven tension, the film stars Sanaa Lathan, Omar Epps, Dennis Haysbert, and Alfre Woodard.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 8:10.
