Movie: Twisters
One of the summers’ most impactful blockbusters, Twisters is both a classic movie thrill ride and a sensitive reckoning with extreme weather devastation. It follows rival teams of storm chasers pursuing a dangerous tornado outbreak across Oklahoma in the hopes of developing technology to reduce their violence. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, Twisters is very balanced in its approach to the disaster film crowd-pleaser, with a charming humanity that goes hand-in-hand with its intensity. The movie stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, and Anthony Ramos.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 8:00.
